Inverted Darlington Amplifier - A three-stage inverted Darlington amplifier handles high-current signals with minimal distortion, so your content sounds clear and powerful just as the artists intended.
Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry (DIDRC) - Thanks to the patented DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry), the Onkyo A-50 integrated amplifier delivers vivid yet smooth and comfortable sound from any music source. DIDRC is a discrete signal control circuit designed to embody Onkyo's sonic philosophy and used in the DAC's analog filter. The high slew rate of DIDRC reduces noise generated in the very high frequency bands of digital sources, resulting in cleaner, clearer audio.
Aluminum Front Panel
A 5mm thick extruded aluminum front panel is used to increase rigidity and reduce vibration.
An Oval Frame - The "Oval Frame" with oval stamping lines reinforces the bottom surface and disperses vibration.
Fanless Design - With a fanless design that eliminates noise, a high-quality stereo DAC (32-bit/768kHz) that reduces distortion, and an extruded aluminum heat sink for vibration suppression, this amplifier delivers exquisite, powerful sound.
High-quality Capacitors - High-quality capacitors High-quality 10000uF, custom-made exclusively for Onkyo, a copper busbar, and rigid front panels further reduce vibration and signal degradation.

Create your perfect system
The A-50 has an output power of 180 W (4 Ω, 1 kHz, THD 0.7%, 2 channels driven) / 110 W (8 Ω, 20-20 kHz, THD 0.07%, 2 channels driven). Despite being a single integrated amplifier, it can powerfully drive a variety of speakers, from large floorstanders to small bookshelf speakers, maximizing the potential of any system.
Dirac Live to correct your room's acoustic flaws
Onkyo makes world-class products for technology pioneers and enthusiasts. It's what sets us apart, and the A-50 integrated amplifier is no exception. That's why it features the built-in Dirac Live Room Correction Suite Stereo. With frequency response correction (Limited: 20-500 Hz / License, Full Version: Full bandwidth / License purchase required), multiple playback modes, and more, this highly appreciated feature will enhance your listening experience, taking into account your specific system and room setup.
From Onkyo Academy: The Benefits of an Integrated Amplifier
An integrated amplifier combines the power of a standard amplifier with the intelligent signal processing of a preamplifier, offering the best of both worlds in one convenient chassis. Input signals from the device (music source) can be controlled and adjusted as desired—depending on the speakers used, the type of audio being played, the music genre, etc.—customizing the listening experience accordingly. The power amplifier takes these signals and literally feeds them to the speakers.
